Today marks the digital release of a very special album from a very special guy. The second album from comedy's favorite everyman Jay Larson. Jay is the alpha and omega of storytelling and life tips. Vinyl print to follow as soon as we can press them, but grab it now on iTunes and never let it go.
Jay Larson is best known as a stand up comedian with multiple appearances on The Late Late Show, four appearances on Conan and his own half hour special on Comedy Central. Jay’s style is completely original and his ability to connect to an audience through storytelling is unmatched. As a storyteller his “Wrong Number” story went viral after climbing to #1 on Reddit and was also featured on “This American Life” with Ira Glass claiming, “Perfect Comedy, Perfect Storytelling…” Jay’s Story telling has also been featured on Comedy Central’s “This is Not Happening” and can be heard every Toozdee on his wildly successful podcast, The CrabFeast. Jay’s first album, “Self Diagnosed” was released in 2011 by Aspecialthing Records.
While stand up is his first love Jay wears many hats and recently co-hosted two seasons of “Best Bars in America” for the Esquire Network. This Spring Jay made his Movie debut in the critically acclaimed Thriller, “The Invitation”. The Karyn Kusama film has launched Jay in a different light and led to a role in the highly anticipated second season of Twin Peaks, set to air on Showtime in 2017. Between stand up, podcasting, hosting and acting Jay has also found time to write and create two television shows for NBC Universal. Though neither show was made Jay is on the hunt for the next one! But at the end of the day the job that Jay gets the most satisfaction out of is being a father to his two kids.

Absolutely overjoyed to announce this baby.
Patton Oswalt returned to his adopted home of San Francisco in 2015 to tape his triumphant Netflix special “Talking For Clapping,” and now you can enjoy the hilarity in the warm confines of vinyl. From politics to parenting to pills, Oswalt brings surgical precision to the proceedings, balancing personal stories with the acidic pop analysis that has become his signature. Brilliantly conceived and masterful in its execution, “Talking For Clapping” is Patton Oswalt at his finest.
Blue Splatter vinyl is $30 and will come autographed by Patton. All proceeds will be donated to 826LA. Limited to 100 copies!
Also available from our store is an opaque white pressing for $15. Retail vinyl will be black.

Third split release between AST and Jonah Ray's Literally Figurative Records. From Jonah: "Matt is a Chicago Second City legend that came to LA ten years ago. He worked as a bartender at BAR 107 downtown and we recorded the album there (w/ @dustinmartian) shortly before it was shut down. Matt embodies Chicago to me which is hyper intelligent, outspoken politically, but won't let that get in the way of a good night of getting wasted and goofing off. His podcast 'conversations with Matt Dwyer' is very worth a listen as well as he interviews authors, activists and poets. I was lucky enough to have Matt write and produce on 'Hidden America' and am proud to release his first album. The A side is an outstanding set of stand up and the B side is songs that are as great as they are humorous (*very). This is available on vinyl at the AST RECORDS site and digitally where ever you get your digitals. Support Matt. Support comedy."
Matt Dwyer began his comedy career at the famed Second City theater in Chicago. He transitioned from sketch to stand up comedy and has performed all over the world to small and gigantic crowds. Dwyer is also a prolific writer who has written for magazines and material for notable comedians Nick Swardson, David Koechner and Natasha Leggero. He recently finished staff writer position on "Hidden America With Jonah Ray." Matt Dwyer also has a podcasts on Feral Audio and a baby with a name no one can pronounce correctly.
